Safety and Environmental Testing
SAFETY
For
many electrical and electronic products, meeting the Low Voltage
Directive or LVD is an essential requirement. We can assist
you with advice and the assessment of an appropriate safety
strategy for your product. It is often the case that some
time spent during the early stages of product development
taking into consideration the requirements of relative safety
standards can pay dividends in minimising the time to market.
Besides providing advice on a relative safety approach, Experior
Technical Services can offer a range of tests to enable product
verification. Some of these tests include:-
- Electrical strength and hi-pot testing to applicable safety
standards or customer specifications
- Component heating under normal and fault conditions
- User access assessment
- Acoustic shock measurement for telephone and audio products
with earpiece or headset facilities
- Marking and labelling, accuracy, legibility and durability
ENVIRONMENTAL
The company is equipped with a Weiss Technik environmental
test chamber. This enables temperature testing between - 40°
to + 180°C with variable humidity testing within the appropriate
temperature range. The chamber allows complete control over
the required temperature and duration such that a full test
cycle of climatic events can be programmed. The mobility of
the test chamber also allows a number of parametric tests
to be carried out whilst the product under test is subjected
to environmental changes.
Packaging performance and drop testing is also an important
aspect of quality and environmental testing. Experior Technical
Services can offer a complete range of drop test assessments,
involving shipping carton, gift box, out of pack drop and
compression testing. These tests are then complemented with
functional and parametric verifications to confirm safe and
reliable operation. |
