July ’06 - The Noise at Work Directive 2005
and its potential impact on suppliers of telephony and
audio equipment.
The next phase of the Directive came into force in April
2006 and has reduced the maximum exposure of sound levels
which can be endured by employees. The Directive places
unequivocal responsibility on the employer who must make
suitable provision for safeguarding their employees.
Our company is presently involved in a case study considering
the specific problems faced by telephone headset wearers
working in call centres and how this affects suppliers
of telecommunications equipment. |
